A really nice poem! This is a really great rhyming piece. It reminds me of learning about rhyme in school, I always found it really hard to match up words and put them in an order that makes sense, but you seem to be fine at that! The fact that you also break up the rhyme with ‘cake’ is really original. I particularly like the party/smartie rhyme. It is also a really great description of a birthday, which reminds me of all the times celebrating birthdays with all of the family. By bringing in so many different people into your poem, you capture this really well! Keep up the good work!
